Honda Activa 5G Highlights
Honda is set to switch over to fuel-injection technology for its two-wheelers by 2020. The
move will enable its offerings to comply with upcoming BSVI emission norms that is set
to take effect on 1 April, 2020. Honda’s Activa 5G comes with an all-LED headlamp,
and two new colour schemes – Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Pearl Spartan Red. The
existing colour schemes are also on offer. It also gets new chrome inserts, new front hook,
extra durable protector for the muffler, and an all-new instrument cluster which now
includes service due indicator and ECO options. Other notable features include
convenient front and rear hooks, a smart seat-opening switch, 18-litre underseat storage,
and mobile charging socket under the seat.
The mechanicals remain unchanged and the Activa 5G continues to draw power from its
109.19cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, BSIV-compliant engine that churns out a maximum
power of 8.11PS @ 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 9Nm @ 5500 rpm. Honda
claims that the scooter can reach a top speed of 83kmph and return a mileage of 60kmpl.
It has a total fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres. Braking is handled by 130mm drum brakes at
both ends and the suspension setup includes a front bottom link unit and rear shock
The Activa 5G is offered in two variants – STD and DLX. The STD variant is available at
Rs 53,565 while the DLX variant is priced at Rs 55,435 both (ex-showroom Delhi). There
are as many as 10 colour options to choose from – yellow, brown, grey, black, silver,
